They are not that common around here either. More common is the great titmouse ([link]).
I'm really looking forward to going out on photo safari with my cam more often once the weather finally improves.
Last time I went on a hike through a forest nearby, I saw less birds than in our backyard during the last couple of days though.
Well, wild animals do tend to be quite unpredictable :shrug:

Ooh, they are pretty too! and green! What we call a titmouse looks quite a bit different... [link] and we get a lot of 'chickdees' [link] which are related but have a different name is all. ^_^
