Hey, no hiding in the shadowsby *duncan-blues

Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) climbing up a tree.

During a hiking trip yesterday, which I also used to give my new "Sun-Sniper" camera strap a field test, I suddenly heard a rustling noise next to me on the forest ground and half-saw a little shadow scrambling up a tree.
I had only a short moment to locate the position of the shadow, determine that it was a squirrel, yank up the camera (which fortunately was equipped with my Tamron 70-200 tele and was hanging next to my hip, ready to hand from the new camera strap) and take a picture before the little critter vanished further up the tree.
Without the Sun-Sniper strap, the squirrel would have been long gone.

Too bad it was so shadowy under this tree but I'm still happy that I got this shot at all.
